where every child has a place to grow

Nurturing newborns, toddlers, and pre-schoolers

with love and research-based practices.

CHRIST-INSPIRED STANDARDS OF CARE

We practice high standards of care when we interact with children, their families, and our fellow employees. This practice keeps us mindful of our moral responsibility as humans and as a business. We work to promote physical and mental well-being in our interactions with all who come through our doors. Excellence in care is not our goal; it is our standard. (Colossians 3:23, NIV)

REGGIO EMILIA-INSPIRED ENVIRONMENT

A Reggio-inspired environment, often referred to as ‘the third teacher’, is one that is open and free-flowing. It enables uninterrupted exploration, play and learning. Outdoor spaces are valued just as highly as formal classrooms, and the design of the space should allow children to move freely between the two.

RESOURCES FOR INFANT Educaring® APPROACH (RIE)

Respect is the basis of the RIE Approach. We not only respect babies, we demonstrate our respect every time we interact with them. Respecting a child means treating even the youngest infant as a unique human being, not as an object.

PLAY-BASED TEACHING

Child-centered, play-based learning is a whole-child educational approach that promotes academic, social-emotional, and cognitive development through both free play and guided play with an adult.

A nurturing environment for

children, families, and EC educators.

MISSION
TSTS supports children, families, and practitioners in a nurturing cooperative community by which we implement best practice approaches to develop life-learners, build positive connections to support brain development, and support transitions from daycare settings to traditional learning environments.
ZERO TO FIVE YEARS
85% of the human brain develops in the first five years of life. The Seed Tree School's nurturing environment aims to develop strong social and emotional connections which promote healthy brain power. Our goal is to encourage infants, toddlers, early preschoolers, and children with exceptionalities to grow into confident life-learners.
PARENTS
Families need help navigating school systems in order to make the best choices for their child’s future. Present research suggests meaningful connections between parents and children help reduce rates of juvenile incarceration, low self-esteem, poor grades, and suicide. TSTS partners with DePelchin’s Children Centers, 24/7 DAD, and other Christ-led organizations to implement fatherhood and motherhood workshops to support our parents endeavors to be engaged.
EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS
Caregivers are more than babysitters and diaper changers; they are valuable implementors of care, knowledge, and teaching that support both the child and the family.
The Seed Tree School esteems their work by creating opportunities for training and memberships to local and national organizations that support early childhood education. Our caregivers stay abreast of current research that can be implemented with the care they offer children.

Tiffany Mays, IMH-E®

Early Childhood Practitioner

With twenty plus years in the field of early childhood education, I’ve witnessed parents navigate parenthood in the most careful and loving ways. A child's response to their parent's love is not only beautiful to behold, but life changing for both the child and parent.

It brings me great joy to serve families. Promoting the social and emotional health of families is key to how The Seed Tree School serves you. Excellent care is our top priority, and we work to create a harmonious environment where infants, toddlers, and early preschoolers thrive as their brains and bodies develop.

With Christ inspired approaches to care, Reggio-Emilio inspired environments, RIE inspired caregiving for infants/toddlers, and Play-based approaches to teaching, The Seed Tree School’s practitioners value our time with your child and implement research-based care as we create developmentally appropriate opportunities for fun as well as learning.
